David Tredinnick (politician)
David Tredinnick (born 19 January 1950) is a British Conservative Party politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bosworth from 1987 to 2019.
Tredinnick was educated at Eton College and the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town. Before entering parliament, he worked in various roles, including as a stockbroker.
During his parliamentary career, Tredinnick served on several select committees, including the Health Committee. He gained prominence, and sometimes controversy, for his interest in and advocacy for complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). He served as Chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Integrated Healthcare. His strong support for homeopathy and other alternative therapies led to debates within the medical community.
Tredinnick lost his seat in the 2019 general election to Luke Evans of the Conservative Party. Since leaving parliament, he has continued to advocate for integrated healthcare approaches.
