David Osborne (cricketer)

David Osborne (born 23 October 1944) is a former English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Cambridge University and Somerset in the 1960s.

A right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler, Osborne appeared in 17 first-class matches between 1964 and 1966. He scored 386 runs at an average of 15.44, with a highest score of 63 for Cambridge University against the Free Foresters in 1964. He also took 3 wickets at an average of 46.66.

Osborne attended Radley College before going up to Cambridge University. He played regularly for the Cambridge University side in 1964, 1965 and 1966, winning his Blue in each year. However, he was less successful when he appeared in two matches for Somerset in 1966, scoring just 14 runs in four innings.

Since his cricket career ended, information about Osborne's activities is scarce.
