David Norris (footballer)
David Norris (born 23 February 1981) is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder.
Career
Norris began his career as a trainee at Bolton Wanderers, turning professional in August 1999. He failed to make a first-team appearance for Bolton and was released in 2000. He subsequently joined Plymouth Argyle, where he spent eight years. During his time at Plymouth, he became a key player and contributed significantly to their promotion to the Championship.
In January 2008, Norris moved to Ipswich Town for a fee believed to be £2.5 million. He was a regular in the Ipswich midfield for three seasons.
Norris signed for Portsmouth in August 2011. He spent one season at Fratton Park before joining Leeds United on loan in August 2012.
He signed permanently for Leeds United in January 2013.
In July 2014, Norris joined Peterborough United. He spent one season with the club.
He then had spells at Blackpool (on loan) and briefly with Leatherhead.

Norris was known for his energetic and combative style of play, characterized by strong tackling and a willingness to contribute both defensively and offensively.
