David McKenzie (Victorian politician)
David McKenzie (1843 – 1895) was an Australian politician. He served as a Member of the Victorian Legislative Council for Nelson Province from 1886 until his death in 1895.
Born in Scotland, McKenzie emigrated to Victoria and became a prominent grazier and pastoralist in the western district of the colony. He was involved in local government before entering state politics. In the Legislative Council, he was generally considered a conservative member, representing the interests of rural landowners. He was a strong advocate for agricultural development and infrastructure improvements in his region. McKenzie died in office in 1895.
