Christina (1984 film)

Christina is a 1984 American psychological horror film directed by Mark Lester and starring Richard Backus, Barbara Crampton, and Drake Hogestyn.

The film centers on a young woman named Christina Delaine (played by Crampton) who is seemingly possessed by the spirit of a deceased woman who lived in her newly purchased house. As Christina researches the previous owner, she begins to exhibit increasingly bizarre and violent behavior, leading her husband, Ben (played by Backus), and a psychiatrist, Dr. Spencer (played by Hogestyn), to investigate the true nature of the haunting and to try and save Christina from its grip.

The plot follows Christina's descent into madness as the entity inhabiting her attempts to recreate the past and exact revenge for events that transpired during her lifetime. The film explores themes of possession, the supernatural, and the destructive power of unresolved trauma.
