David Dempsey (cricketer)

David Dempsey (born October 14, 1954) is a former first-class cricketer who played for Glamorgan County Cricket Club.

Dempsey was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. He played for Glamorgan between 1974 and 1982. In his first-class career, he scored 3,425 runs at an average of 22.38, with a highest score of 131 not out. He also took 125 wickets at an average of 36.04, with a best of 5 for 69.

He also played List A cricket for Glamorgan, appearing in 40 matches, scoring 464 runs and taking 26 wickets.

Following his playing career, Dempsey became involved in cricket administration.
