David Bell (footballer, born 1984)

David Bell (born 21 January 1984) is a Scottish former professional footballer. He primarily played as a midfielder, but could also operate as a defender.

Bell began his career with Kilmarnock, making his professional debut in 2001. He spent several seasons with the club, becoming a regular first-team player and captaining the side on occasion. During his time at Kilmarnock, he gained a reputation as a hardworking and versatile player.

In January 2010, Bell moved to Norwich City for an undisclosed fee. He played for the Canaries for a season and a half, contributing to their League One title-winning campaign in 2009–10 and promotion to the Championship.

Bell then returned to Scotland, signing for Dundee United in June 2011. He remained at Tannadice Park for two seasons.

Subsequently, he joined St Johnstone in June 2013. He spent three seasons with the Perth club, featuring regularly in the Scottish Premiership and experiencing European football during their Europa League qualifying campaigns.

After his time at St Johnstone, Bell had a spell at Ayr United before retiring from professional football.

Bell also represented Scotland at various youth levels, including the under-21 team.
