Danger Mouse (musician)
Danger Mouse, born Brian Joseph Burton on July 29, 1977, is an American musician, songwriter, record producer, and composer. He gained widespread recognition in 2004 with The Grey Album, a mashup project blending Jay-Z's The Black Album with The Beatles' White Album.
His production credits are extensive and diverse, encompassing a wide range of genres including alternative rock, hip hop, pop, and soul. He has worked with artists such as Gorillaz, Adele, The Black Keys, Beck, Red Hot Chili Peppers, A$AP Rocky, and Norah Jones.
Danger Mouse is also a member of several musical projects. He formed the duo Gnarls Barkley with CeeLo Green, releasing the critically acclaimed and commercially successful album St. Elsewhere in 2006, which featured the hit single "Crazy." He also formed the band Broken Bells with The Shins' frontman James Mercer.
Beyond his production and collaborative work, Danger Mouse has released solo material and composed scores for film and television. He is highly regarded in the music industry for his innovative production techniques and eclectic musical tastes, and is known for creating unique sonic landscapes. He has won multiple Grammy Awards, including Producer of the Year, Non-Classical.
