Daddy Kev
Daddy Kev, born Kevin Moo, is an American DJ, producer, and music executive based in Los Angeles, California. He is primarily known for his contributions to the development and promotion of experimental electronic music, particularly within the genres of instrumental hip-hop, beat music, and ambient electronic music.
He is the founder and operator of Alpha Pup Records, an independent record label established in 2004. Alpha Pup Records is recognized for its influential role in cultivating the Los Angeles beat scene and launching the careers of numerous artists, including Flying Lotus, Nosaj Thing, and Gaslamp Killer.
Daddy Kev's DJ sets are characterized by their eclectic selections and technical prowess. He has performed at numerous festivals and venues worldwide, showcasing his diverse musical taste and mixing skills.
