D'Bari

The D'Bari are a fictional extraterrestrial race in the Marvel Comics universe. They are reptilian humanoids known for their shapeshifting abilities.

The D'Bari are notable for their near extinction at the hands of the Dark Phoenix during the "Dark Phoenix Saga." While seeking to escape the Shi'ar Imperial Guard, the Dark Phoenix consumed the star system the D'Bari inhabited, destroying their homeworld and killing most of their population. A small number of D'Bari survived, scattered across the galaxy.

In terms of their appearance, D'Bari are generally described as having scaly green skin, reptilian features, and the aforementioned capacity for shapeshifting into other forms. This shapeshifting ability allows them to blend in with other species or to adopt forms advantageous in combat.

Following the destruction of their planet, the survivors have become refugees, often seeking revenge against Jean Grey (as the Dark Phoenix) or struggling to rebuild their society. Some D'Bari have appeared as antagonists in Marvel Comics stories, driven by their desire for vengeance.
