College station (MetroLink)
College station is a light rail station on the St. Louis MetroLink system, located in the College Hill neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. It serves the Red Line and Blue Line. The station is situated at the intersection of North Grand Boulevard and Penrose Street.
College station primarily serves the residential areas of College Hill and surrounding neighborhoods. It provides convenient access to local businesses, schools, and community services. Riders also utilize the station for connections to other MetroLink lines and MetroBus routes.
The station consists of two side platforms, one for each direction of travel. Amenities include sheltered waiting areas, ticket vending machines, and accessible boarding ramps. Parking is limited to street parking in the adjacent area.
The station opened with the initial MetroLink line in 1993. Its name refers to the historical presence of higher education institutions in the vicinity, though currently, no major colleges are directly adjacent to the station.
