David Keith (actor)

David Keith (born May 8, 1954) is an American actor and director. He is best known for his roles in films such as An Officer and a Gentleman (1982), Firestarter (1984), Major League II (1994), and U-571 (2000).

Keith began his acting career in the late 1970s with roles in television and film. He gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Sid Worley in An Officer and a Gentleman, a role that earned him a Golden Globe nomination.

Throughout the 1980s, he starred in several prominent films, including The Lords of Discipline (1983), Firestarter (1984), and White of the Eye (1987). He continued to work steadily in both film and television throughout the 1990s and 2000s.

In addition to acting, Keith has also directed several films, including The Curse (1987) and Major League II (1994), in which he also starred. He has also directed episodes of television series.
