Cobra (La Ronde)
Cobra is a steel stand-up roller coaster located at La Ronde in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Opened in 1995, it was manufactured by Intamin. As a stand-up coaster, riders experience the entire ride in a standing position. Cobra features a relatively compact layout characterized by a vertical loop, a sidewinder inversion, and a corkscrew. Riders are secured in place by an over-the-shoulder restraint system. The coaster's name likely refers to the snake, reflecting the imposing appearance and potentially thrilling experience of the ride. It is one of only a few stand-up roller coasters still operating.
