Chris Pearson (politician)
Chris Pearson (born February 18, 1972) is an American politician from the state of Vermont. He served as a Progressive member of the Vermont Senate representing Chittenden County from 2011 to 2017, and previously served in the Vermont House of Representatives from 2007 to 2011.
Pearson focused his legislative efforts on issues such as campaign finance reform, renewable energy, and paid family leave. He chaired the Senate Committee on Economic Development, Housing and General Affairs during his time in the Senate.
Prior to his political career, Pearson worked in the non-profit sector. He did not seek re-election to the Vermont Senate in 2016. Since leaving the Senate, he has remained involved in public policy discussions and advocacy.
