Charles Bennett (Australian politician)

Charles Bennett (born 1908, died 1999) was an Australian politician. He served as a Labor member of the Australian House of Representatives for the Division of Bass in Tasmania from 1969 to 1975.

Prior to entering federal parliament, Bennett was involved in local government and community affairs in Tasmania. His political career was focused on representing the interests of his electorate and advocating for policies beneficial to the Tasmanian community, particularly in areas such as agriculture and infrastructure.

While in Parliament, Bennett served on various committees and participated in debates on national issues. He lost his seat in the 1975 election.
