The church was organized in 1790, initially known as the "Bethesda Meeting House." The original log structure was replaced with a frame building around 1800.

The current church building, a Late Gothic Revival style structure, was constructed in 1927-1928. It features a cruciform plan, pointed arch windows, and a prominent bell tower. The sanctuary boasts stained glass windows and wooden pews.
