Chainfire

Chainfire is a Dutch software developer and Android enthusiast, best known for creating the SuperSU application and related tools for rooted Android devices. SuperSU manages root permissions on Android devices, allowing users to grant or deny access to applications that require elevated privileges. He is also recognized for developing other Android-related utilities and tools, often focusing on low-level system modifications and customization. In 2015, Chainfire joined Google, and subsequently ceased active development on SuperSU, transferring ownership of the project. His work has been influential in the Android rooting and custom ROM community.
