Chad Green (pitcher)

Chad Green (born July 24, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Green played college baseball at the University of Louisville. He was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 11th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft. The Tigers traded Green to the New York Yankees in 2015.

He made his MLB debut with the Yankees in 2016. Primarily a relief pitcher, Green quickly became a valuable asset to the Yankees bullpen, known for his high velocity fastball and effective slider. He established himself as a reliable late-inning option.

In 2023, Green signed with the Toronto Blue Jays after recovering from Tommy John surgery. He continues his career as a relief pitcher with the Blue Jays.
