Cambrians

The Cambrians refer to the inhabitants of Wales, or the Welsh people. The term is derived from Cambria, the Latinized form of Cymru, the Welsh name for Wales. While the word "Welsh" is derived from the Germanic word Wealh, meaning "foreigner" or "Romanized person," Cambria and Cambrians connect the people to a more ancient, Brythonic past. The term can be used to refer to people who are native to Wales, of Welsh descent, or who identify with Welsh culture. It is often used in historical or literary contexts, sometimes in contrast to more modern or geographically broad terms like "British."
