Call of Duty: Warzone (2022 video game)

Call of Duty: Warzone is a free-to-play battle royale video game released in 2022 as a standalone title and a sequel to the original Call of Duty: Warzone. It is developed by Infinity Ward and Raven Software, and published by Activision. The game is part of the Call of Duty franchise and is integrated with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, sharing progression and content.

Warzone features a large-scale battle royale mode where players compete to be the last squad or player standing. Players can drop into the map solo, in duos, trios, or quads. The game incorporates mechanics such as a shrinking play area (the "circle"), loadout drops allowing players to acquire custom weapon builds, and the Gulag, a second-chance mechanic where players who die early can fight for a chance to redeploy.

Key differences from the original Warzone include a new map (initially Al Mazrah), redesigned gameplay mechanics such as swimming and ledge hanging, and updated vehicle handling.
