Bud Asher

Bud Asher (1925-2013) was an American sportscaster, known primarily for his work on radio covering sports in South Florida. He was a fixture on the airwaves for over five decades, broadcasting play-by-play for the Miami Hurricanes (college football), Miami Dolphins (NFL), and various high school sports. Asher was particularly noted for his enthusiastic and colorful commentary, which earned him a devoted following. He was inducted into the Florida Sports Hall of Fame in 1995. Beyond broadcasting, Asher was actively involved in community service, supporting youth sports and other charitable causes.
