Bradford Field (North Carolina)
Bradford Field is a former airfield located near New Bern, Craven County, North Carolina, United States. It served as a military training field during World War II.
Specifically, Bradford Field was a satellite field of Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. It was used primarily for basic flight training for Marine pilots. The field consisted of several runways, support buildings, and housing facilities.
Following the end of World War II, the field was decommissioned and returned to private ownership. Today, little remains of the original airfield infrastructure, and the land is primarily used for agricultural purposes. The exact location may be difficult to discern due to its return to agricultural usage and lack of historical markers. Records pertaining to its exact operations and personnel are primarily archived within the broader records of MCAS Cherry Point.
