Blaenau Ffestiniog (Pantyrafon) railway station
Blaenau Ffestiniog (Pantyrafon) railway station was a short-lived railway station located in Blaenau Ffestiniog, Gwynedd, Wales. It served as a temporary terminus for the Conwy Valley Line between 1879 and 1881, while the line was extended further into the town. The station was situated on the western side of Blaenau Ffestiniog, at Pantyrafon, slightly outside the main built-up area.
During its operation, Pantyrafon station provided passenger and goods services, connecting Blaenau Ffestiniog to the wider railway network via the Conwy Valley Line. Passengers could travel to destinations such as Llandudno and Conwy. Goods traffic mainly comprised slate, a major industry in the Blaenau Ffestiniog area.
The station closed upon the completion of the line to a new, more central Blaenau Ffestiniog station, located closer to the town centre. Following its closure, the platform and buildings were demolished and the site reverted to other uses. No visible trace of the station remains today. It should not be confused with the current Blaenau Ffestiniog station or the former LNWR Blaenau Ffestiniog station.
