Billy Williams (Seattle Pilots outfielder)

William "Billy" Williams (born August 16, 1944) was an American professional baseball outfielder who played briefly for the Seattle Pilots in 1969. He batted and threw right-handed.

Williams was drafted by the Milwaukee Braves in the 10th round of the 1966 MLB draft out of Bishop College. After progressing through the Braves' minor league system, he was selected by the Seattle Pilots in the 1968 expansion draft.

He appeared in 11 games for the Pilots in 1969, primarily as a pinch hitter. He had one hit in 14 at-bats, a single, for a batting average of .071. He also scored one run. He did not record any putouts or assists in the field.

After the 1969 season, Williams returned to the minor leagues and did not appear in another Major League Baseball game. His brief stint with the Pilots made him a part of the team's historical record, documented in Jim Bouton's book Ball Four.
