Bill Moss (racing driver)
Bill Moss (born 1933, died 2010) was a British racing driver who competed in sports car racing and Formula One during the 1950s and early 1960s. While never achieving the same level of fame as his older brother, Stirling Moss, he was a successful and respected driver in his own right.
Moss primarily raced sports cars, often driving for teams such as Lotus and Cooper. He achieved numerous victories and podium finishes in various national and international events. He also participated in one Formula One World Championship Grand Prix, the 1959 British Grand Prix at Aintree, driving a Cooper T45 for the United Autosports team. He retired from the race due to a gearbox problem.
Although his Formula One career was brief, Moss continued to be a competitive force in sports car racing for several years. He was known for his smooth driving style and tactical approach to racing. Following his retirement from professional racing, Moss remained involved in the sport as a commentator and advisor.
