Bill Lewis (American football coach)

Bill Lewis (born August 26, 1943) is a former American football coach. He served as the head football coach at the University of Wyoming from 1987 to 1988 and at Georgia Tech from 1992 to 1994, compiling a career college football record of 28–29.

Lewis had prior coaching stints as an assistant at various universities, including Pittsburgh, West Virginia, and Southern Methodist. He is particularly known for his role as defensive coordinator under Dick Sheridan at North Carolina State University, where he helped build a strong Wolfpack defense.

After leaving Georgia Tech, Lewis served in various other coaching roles, primarily as a defensive coordinator or assistant head coach at schools like Boston College and Bowling Green. He also spent time coaching in the Canadian Football League (CFL).
