John Brown (Pennsylvania politician)

John Brown (1772 – 1845) was an American politician from Pennsylvania. He served as a United States Representative for Pennsylvania's 8th congressional district from 1829 to 1831.

Born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Brown pursued agricultural pursuits. He served in the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives in 1813, 1814, 1824, and 1825.

Elected as a Jacksonian to the Twenty-first Congress, he served one term. He was not a candidate for renomination in 1830. Following his term in Congress, Brown resumed agricultural activities. He died in Bucks County and is interred in the Thompson Church Cemetery, near Mechanicsville, Pennsylvania.
