Bifröst (town)

Bifröst is a small town in the municipality of Borgarbyggð in western Iceland. It is located in the Vesturland region, near the Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls, and close to the Grábrók volcano and crater.

The town's development is largely centered around Bifröst University (Háskólinn á Bifröst), a private university specializing in business, law, and social sciences. The university's presence has significantly shaped the town's demographics and infrastructure.

Bifröst experiences a subpolar oceanic climate, characterized by relatively mild summers and cool winters. Its location in western Iceland also makes it susceptible to strong winds and frequent precipitation.
