Beto (footballer, born 1986)
Beto, born Albertino João José Rodrigues, (May 1, 1986) is a Portuguese former professional footballer who primarily played as a goalkeeper.
Career
Beto began his professional career in Portugal, playing for a variety of clubs in the lower divisions. He gained prominence playing for Leixões S.C. in the Primeira Liga, Portugal's top flight. He later moved to Romania and played for CFR Cluj, where he experienced European competition. Following his time in Romania, he returned to Portugal.
International Career
While Beto had a lengthy career, he did not earn any caps for the Portugal national football team.
Playing Style
As a goalkeeper, Beto was known for his shot-stopping ability and commanding presence in the penalty area.
