Ben Eager
Ben Eager (born January 22, 1984) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey left winger. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Philadelphia Flyers, Chicago Blackhawks, Atlanta Thrashers, San Jose Sharks, and Edmonton Oilers.
Eager was drafted in the first round, 23rd overall, by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He never played for the Coyotes. Known for his aggressive and physical style of play, Eager was often deployed as an enforcer.
Eager played junior hockey for the Oshawa Generals and the Mississauga IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). He won the Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2010. Following his NHL career, Eager played briefly in Europe before retiring from professional hockey.
He was suspended multiple times throughout his NHL career due to on-ice incidents and infractions.
