Beeskow

Beeskow is a town in the Oder-Spree district of Brandenburg, Germany. It is situated on the River Spree, approximately 80 kilometers (50 miles) southeast of Berlin. As the district seat (Kreisstadt) of Oder-Spree, Beeskow is an administrative and economic center for the surrounding region.

Historically, Beeskow's origins can be traced back to a Slavic settlement. The town was first mentioned in historical records in 1272.
