Ashley (New Zealand electorate)

Ashley was a former New Zealand parliamentary electorate, existing from 1866 to 1972. It was located in the Canterbury region, north of Christchurch. The electorate was named after the Ashley River, which formed part of its boundary.

The boundaries of the Ashley electorate were subject to change over time due to population shifts and electoral redistributions. Generally, it encompassed a rural area with agricultural interests being prominent among its constituents.
