Anthony Lewis (baseball)

Anthony Lewis is an American former professional baseball outfielder. He played briefly in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Miami Marlins in 2019.

Born on May 20, 1990, Lewis was signed by the St. Louis Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2012. He spent several years in the Cardinals' minor league system, progressing through various levels before being traded to the Miami Marlins in 2018.

Lewis made his MLB debut with the Marlins on May 24, 2019. He appeared in 14 games for the Marlins, recording a limited number of at-bats. He was primarily used as a defensive replacement and pinch-runner. He was later designated for assignment and returned to the minor leagues. His MLB statistics include a batting average below .200, with no home runs or RBIs.

Following his brief stint in MLB, Lewis continued to play in the minor leagues, but did not return to the major leagues.
