Anna Pavlova (gymnast)

Anna Pavlova (born September 6, 1987, in Orekhovo-Zuyevo, Moscow Oblast) is a retired Russian artistic gymnast. She is best known for her elegant style and technical proficiency, particularly on the balance beam and vault.

Pavlova's career highlights include competing at two Olympic Games: Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008. At the 2004 Athens Olympics, she was a member of the Russian team that won the bronze medal. She also competed in the individual all-around final, finishing fourth, narrowly missing a medal. At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, she again competed in the team event, finishing fourth, and also reached the individual all-around final.

In addition to her Olympic achievements, Pavlova earned several medals at the World Championships. She won a bronze medal on the vault at the 2001 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Ghent. At the 2005 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Melbourne, she won a bronze medal on the balance beam.

Pavlova also achieved success at the European Championships, winning multiple medals throughout her career. She was particularly strong in the all-around competition and on the balance beam.
