Wilhelm Weber (gymnast)

Wilhelm Weber (1880-1963) was a German gymnast who competed in the early 20th century. He is best known for winning a gold medal in the all-around individual event at the 1906 Intercalated Games in Athens. While these Games are no longer officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee, Weber's performance remains a significant part of gymnastics history. He also competed at the 1904 Summer Olympics in St. Louis, where he participated in multiple events but did not win any medals. Weber was a member of the German gymnastics team and contributed to the development of gymnastics in Germany during his era. He is remembered as a skilled and successful athlete of his time.
