Amendolea

Amendolea is a hamlet (frazione) located within the municipality of Condofuri, in the Province of Reggio Calabria, Italy. It is situated in the Aspromonte mountain range, near the Ionian coast.

Historically, Amendolea was an independent comune (municipality) until its suppression in 1928, when it was aggregated to the comune of Condofuri.

The village is known for its well-preserved medieval castle, the Castello di Amendolea, which overlooks the Amendolea river valley. The castle is a significant historical landmark in the region.
