Amalner

Amalner is a city and a municipal council in Jalgaon district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is located in the Khandesh region.

Amalner has historical significance due to its association with the Gandhi family. Mahatma Gandhi's wife, Kasturba Gandhi, passed away in prison in Aga Khan Palace, Pune, but her ashes were brought to Amalner and immersed in the Tapi River.
