Allu (island)

Allu is a small, uninhabited island located in the Gulf of Bothnia, part of the Kvarken Archipelago, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The archipelago is characterized by its unique geology and ongoing land uplift, a consequence of the last ice age. Allu, like many islands in Kvarken, is relatively flat and rocky, with sparse vegetation typical of the Baltic Sea environment. The island's ecosystem provides a habitat for various seabirds and marine life. Due to its location within a protected area, Allu is subject to environmental regulations aimed at preserving its natural state.
