Allan Brown (footballer, born 1926)
Allan Brown (born 17 October 1926, died 1997) was a Scottish professional footballer and manager.
Playing Career:
Brown played as an inside forward. He began his senior career with East Fife in 1945, where he remained for several seasons. He then moved south to England, joining Luton Town. Following his time at Luton, Brown played for Tottenham Hotspur, making his debut in December 1953. He was a member of the Tottenham Hotspur side that won the First Division title in the 1950-51 season and the FA Cup in 1951. Brown left Tottenham in 1953.
Managerial Career:
Following his playing career, Brown moved into football management. He managed several clubs, including Workington (1959-1961). He also managed several clubs in Norway, including FK Gjøvik-Lyn, whom he managed to the Norwegian Cup final in 1962.
