AS Roma
AS Roma, commonly referred to as Roma, is an Italian professional football club based in Rome. Founded in 1927, the club has played continuously in the top tier of Italian football, Serie A, except for a single season in the 1950s.
Roma has won Serie A three times, in 1941–42, 1982–83, and 2000–01, as well as nine Coppa Italia titles and two Supercoppa Italiana titles. On the European stage, Roma won the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1960–61 and reached the final of the European Cup in 1983–84, losing to Liverpool on penalties. They also reached the final of the UEFA Cup in 1990–91, losing to Inter Milan, and the UEFA Europa Conference League final in 2021–22, winning against Feyenoord.
The club's home stadium is the Stadio Olimpico, which they share with local rivals S.S. Lazio. A fierce rivalry exists between the two clubs, known as the Derby della Capitale (Derby of the Capital).
Roma's colours are maroon and gold, which are the colours of the city of Rome. Their nickname is "I Giallorossi", meaning "The Yellow and Reds". The club's official anthem is "Roma Roma Roma".
The club has had many notable players throughout its history, including Francesco Totti, Daniele De Rossi, Bruno Conti, and Paulo Roberto Falcão. Roma is one of the most supported football clubs in Italy and has a large global fan base.
