2019 Super Cup (India)
The 2019 Super Cup was a knockout football competition held in India. It was the second edition of the Super Cup, organized by the All India Football Federation (AIFF). The tournament featured teams from the I-League and the Indian Super League (ISL).
The competition was originally scheduled to take place in Odisha, but due to issues between the AIFF and several I-League clubs, the tournament was eventually hosted at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Many I-League teams initially refused to participate in the tournament, citing unfair treatment by the AIFF.
The tournament format involved a preliminary round for lower-ranked teams to qualify for the main draw. The main draw consisted of teams from both the I-League and ISL competing in a single-elimination format.
FC Goa emerged as the champions of the 2019 Super Cup, defeating Chennaiyin FC in the final. The victory secured FC Goa a spot in the AFC Cup qualifying rounds.
