2014 Fiesta Bowl (January)

The 2014 Fiesta Bowl, officially known as the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, was a college football bowl game played on January 1, 2014, at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. It was one of the 2013–14 bowl games concluding the 2013 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The game featured the Baylor Bears, champions of the Big 12 Conference, and the UCF Knights, champions of the American Athletic Conference.

UCF defeated Baylor by a score of 52-42, in a significant upset. UCF quarterback Blake Bortles was named the offensive MVP, while UCF linebacker Terrance Plummer was named the defensive MVP. The game was notable for UCF's high-powered offense and their ability to contain Baylor's potent rushing attack. The victory marked a high point in UCF's football program history.
