18th Street station (IRT Lexington Avenue Line)
The 18th Street station is a local station on the IRT Lexington Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of 18th Street and Park Avenue South in the Flatiron District of Manhattan, it is served by the 4 and 6 trains at all times, and the 5 train during weekdays.
The station has two tracks and two side platforms. It is one of the original 28 stations of the New York City Subway, opening on October 27, 1904. As an original station, it retains many of its historical design features, including mosaic tilework and ornate station name tablets. The platforms are not ADA-accessible. The station's proximity to Union Square and Gramercy Park contributes to its moderate ridership.
