Yoel Kahn

Yoel Kahn (born January 18, 1958) is a scholar of Kabbalah and Jewish mysticism. He is known for his expertise in the history and textual analysis of Lurianic Kabbalah, and particularly for his critical editions of seminal Kabbalistic texts, including those of Rabbi Isaac Luria (the Ari).

Kahn's work focuses on elucidating the complexities and nuances of Kabbalistic thought, often through meticulous philological examination of original manuscripts. His research contributes significantly to the understanding of the development and dissemination of Kabbalistic ideas, especially the processes by which they were interpreted and adapted in different historical and geographical contexts.

He is affiliated with the University of Haifa, and has held visiting positions at various institutions including the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He has published extensively in both Hebrew and English, and his publications are highly regarded in the field of Kabbalah studies.
