X Factor (German TV series) season 1
The first season of the German television talent show X Factor premiered on RTL and VOX on August 31, 2010, and concluded on November 9, 2010. Based on the British show of the same name, X Factor sought to find new singing talent, open to solo artists and groups, from amateur or unsigned professional backgrounds. The judging panel consisted of Sarah Connor, Till Brönner, and Das Bo. The season was hosted by Jochen Schropp and Nina Moghaddam. The winner of the first season was Edita Abdieski, mentored by Sarah Connor. The season featured live shows that were broadcast weekly, showcasing the finalists and their performances. Competitors were divided into categories, each overseen by a specific judge: Solo Artists (16-24), Over 25s, and Groups. Key moments included the audition process, bootcamp stage, judges' houses, and the live performance shows. The season's format largely mirrored the British version, with viewers voting for their favorite acts each week.
