Working (TV series)

Working is an American sitcom television series that aired on NBC from October 5, 1997, to April 26, 1999. The series starred Fred Savage as Matt Pease, a recent college graduate navigating the world of corporate employment at a fictional Chicago-based firm, First Chicago.

The show focused on Matt's experiences as a junior employee, his relationships with his eccentric and often overbearing coworkers, and his attempts to balance his professional life with his personal life. Recurring characters included his supervisor, Tim, portrayed by Maurice Godin, and his work colleagues Hal, played by Arden Myrin, and Evelyn, played by Sarah Aldrich.

Working utilized a single-camera format and often incorporated absurdist humor to satirize office culture and the challenges faced by young professionals entering the workforce. The series explored themes such as ambition, corporate politics, the search for meaning in work, and the struggle to adapt to the demands of a fast-paced professional environment. Despite initially garnering modest viewership, the show was cancelled after two seasons.
