Stefan Marković (basketball)
Stefan Marković (Serbian Cyrillic: Стефан Марковић; born April 25, 1988) is a Serbian professional basketball player. He primarily plays the point guard position.
Marković has represented the Serbian national basketball team in numerous international competitions, including the Olympic Games (2016), the FIBA Basketball World Cup (2010, 2014), and EuroBasket (2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017). He won a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics and also a silver medal at the 2009 EuroBasket and the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
Throughout his professional career, Marković has played for several clubs in Europe, including Hemofarm, Benetton Treviso, Valencia Basket, Banvit, Unicaja Málaga, Zenit Saint Petersburg, Khimki, Virtus Bologna, and Crvena Zvezda. Known for his playmaking ability, court vision, and defensive prowess, he is considered a reliable floor general. He officially retired from professional basketball in 2023.
