William Gibbs (Australian politician)

William Gibbs (born 18 March 1861, died 30 January 1940) was an Australian politician who served as a member of the Tasmanian House of Assembly.

Gibbs was born in Oatlands, Tasmania. He represented the electoral division of Fingal in the Tasmanian Parliament from 1909 to 1913. He sat as a member of the Anti-Socialist Party, which later merged into the Liberal Party. He was involved in local government prior to entering state politics, serving on the Oatlands Municipal Council. Outside of politics, he was involved in agricultural pursuits, particularly sheep farming.
