Wildboyz
Wildboyz was an American reality stunt television series that originally aired on MTV from 2003 to 2006. It was a spin-off of the popular series Jackass, and featured two of the Jackass cast members, Steve-O and Chris Pontius, traveling the globe to interact with and perform stunts involving animals, often in their natural habitats.
The series was known for its outlandish and often dangerous stunts, its irreverent humor, and its disregard for personal safety. Episodes typically involved the duo engaging in activities such as wrestling alligators, riding ostriches, and provoking various wild animals. The humor was often crude and relied heavily on slapstick and physical comedy.
While Wildboyz shared a similar spirit to Jackass, it distinguished itself through its focus on animal interactions and exotic locations. The series took Steve-O and Pontius to diverse environments around the world, ranging from African savannas to the Amazon rainforest.
The show ran for four seasons and produced a theatrical film titled Wildboyz Presents. Due to the potentially dangerous nature of the stunts, the show often included disclaimers warning viewers not to attempt to replicate the actions seen on screen. Wildboyz was controversial due to its treatment of animals and the risk of injury to the performers, leading to some criticism during its run.
