Walter Miller (actor)

Walter Miller (14 March 1892 – 30 March 1940) was an American actor of the silent era and early sound period, primarily known for his roles in serial films.

Miller was born in Dayton, Ohio. He began his acting career in the theater before transitioning to film. He found considerable success in action-oriented serials, often playing heroic leads or villains in cliffhanger adventures. These serials were popular at the time and provided steady work for Miller.

Some of his notable serial appearances include The Black Secret (1919), The Invisible Ray (1920), The Power Within (1921), and Captain Midnight (1942). He also appeared in numerous Westerns and adventure films.

As sound films gained prominence, Miller's career continued, albeit with fewer leading roles. He transitioned into supporting roles and character parts.

Miller died in Hollywood, California, at the age of 48.
